Wow… so if any of you saw our last Six Flags Magic Mountain update, you’d see that I said we’d try to pump out these update more quickly… Well, ,unfortunately, even though I was hoping I would be able to go the park more often, life got in the way, and I just wasn;’t able to make it to the park until now. But, here I am again. Sorry for the inconvenience, everyone. But I should either be at the Justice League: Battle for Metropolis opening, or ERT day. So there should be more content to look forward to sooner rather than later. Anyway, with that said, let’s get on with this park update!

With less than a WEEK before the anticapted Justice League: Battle for Metropolis dark ride opens (THAT’S RIGHT. YOU HEARD ME. JUSTICE LEAGUE: BATTLE FOR METROPOLIS OPENS THIS WEDNESDAY, July 12th, 2017!), and with us not being able to visit the park for the last 3 months, it was the perfect time to visit the park! So without further ado, let’s get this started! 😀

The park is now open every day, and with that comes the new maps for that year. The maps this year feature Justice League: Battle for Metropolis on the front of the map. Besides that, not much has changed except the map now shows the Metropolis area. But it still looks pretty cool (as they do every year) nonetheless.

The park now has superhero photoshoots around the park. I’ve personally never really cared for these photoshoots, but they’re great for the GP and whatnot.

Are you sick of the Fidget Spinner trend? Well, too bad! Six Flags has now got on board the Fidget Spinner train, so you’re not going to stop hearing of them for a long time! 😛

Six Flags’ partnership with Kodak has ended. So now they’re offering a new kind of Season Picture Pass. I’m not sure if it’s just Six Flags using their own cameras, or if it’s some other company. I would assume it’s just Six Flags since there doesn’t seem to be any company listed on their signs advertising the Season Picture Pass around the park, but I can’t know for sure (right now at least). Oh, their partnership with Discover also ended. So no more skipping the huge line to get in on those crowded days, unfortunately.

If you have a Dining Pass this next part is going to excite you. At all (or most) of the restaurants around the park now have either an M (for Meal) or S (for snack), making it easier to know which is which. This is a huge improvment as I remember think something was a snack, when it turned out to be a meal. So good on you, Six Flags!

Oh, did I mention it was an extremely hot day? No? Well it was an EXTREMELY hot day at the park, but at least there was almost no people there. But I was able to get on most of the rides with little-to-no wait times. Below you will find pictures of some of the lines today. And if you do decide to go to the park when it’s 100 degrees+, make sure you stay hydrated, and use sunscreen!

Apocalypse reopened after it being closed for a long time . And I personally never had a real problem with Apocalypse. I mean, sure. It was kind of rough. But I didn’t mind it,  so even though it is definitetly a lot better than it was before, I never really had a huge problem with it to begin with. But, again, it is a HUGE improvment.

Full Throttle Nights and Kwerk are back and better than ever! I’m personally more of a fan of Kwerk since it’s in an air-conditioned building. But both are great.

The painitings on the ground in the Screampunk District have been repainted and look great.  And for some unknown reason they took away the little shop right outside the entrance to Twisted Colossus.  Oh well. I only ever bought from there on the media day for Twisted Colossus. 😛

Do you remember the old little building next to Bugs Bunny World where you could play Street Fighter V? Well it’s now being used as some virtual reality gaming area (powered by the Samsung Gear VR). I unfortunately didn’t have the chance to check it out, but I hope I will be able to soon!

Along with Kodak, and Discover, Six Flags’ partnership with 7/11 has also ended. But now they are partnering up with ICEE (which I personally think is better). And the best part is, you can get it FREE as a snack! I tried it out since it was a very, VERY hot day, and it did not disappoint. If you have a dining pass, you should definitely check it out!

Swashbuck;ler has also reopened after being closed for refurbishment. I really wish Six Flags Magic Mountain would get a SkyScreamer here one day. But for now, Swashbuckler will have to do.

Okay, well that does it for this park–wait. Did I forget something? Oh, yeah. Justice League, Metropolis, Tidal Wave, The Riddler’s Revenge and Gold Rusher’s  station repaint!  The whole Metropolis area is coming along, how do I put this…  SIX FLAGS… YOU’RE DOING AN AWESOME JOB! Let me just let the pictures speak for themselves.

See what I mean? I can’t wait to see the finished product just NEXT WEEK!

Oh, and Tidal Wave’s entrance has been moved East of the bumper cars. I’m hearing it might be because they’re planning on taking Tidal Wave out and expand DC Universe.

Let’s end this update with a picture of Green Lantern and the newly-repainted Riddlers Revenge (which I am a HUGE fan of by the way)!

Thanks for checking out this park update!
