Welcome to the very first ‘CCF’S Top 10’ article. In this article we will be looking at the Top 10 best coasters at Six Flags Magic Mountain! So without further ado, let’s get this started! Keep in mind this is only our personal opinion, if you disagree with this list, it’s fine! Just make sure to know this is only Crazy Coaster Freaks opinion. Thank you.

10.) Superman: Escape from Krypton

Superman: Escape from Krypton is a Intamin launch coaster that launches you backwards at 100 mph through the trees then shoots you up a sky-scraping 415 feet, giving you a great view of the park and the surrounding Santa Clarita valley, it then pulls you back down back into the station. Though this isn’t the longest ride, it is very thrilling, and it’s a good way to get your veins pumping. That’s why I’m giving it number 10.

9.) The Riddler’s Revenge

The Riddler’s Revenge is the world’s tallest, fastest, and longest stand up roller coaster in the world, and is often recognized at the best stand up roller coaster in the world, and for good reason. The Riddler’s Revenge features a 156 foot drop, and reaches top speeds of 65 mph. This is one of the best coasters at Six Flags Magic Mountain, that’s why it’s earning number 9.

8.) Batman: The Ride

Coming in at 8th place is Batman: The Ride, a inverted coaster built by Bolliger & Mabillard that features top speeds of 50 mph, and a elevation of 10.5 stories (105 feet). This is often known as one of the best inverts in California, not to mention the most intense. That’s why Batman: The Ride goes at number 8.

7.) Green Lantern: First Flight

In 7th place is Green Lantern: First Flight. An Intamin Zac-spin coaster that was built in 2011 with the addition of DC Universe. Some people may think I’m insane for putting this ANYWHERE on the top 10 list, but I actually find Green Lantern: First Flight to be an awesome, intense coaster. So please don’t ball me out if you are on of the many, many, people that dislike this ride. It’s just my personal opinion. Green Lantern: First Flight goes in 7th place.

6.) Viper

Next up is Viper, coming in at number six. A lot of you may be asking again why I put Green Lantern: First Flight and Viper anywhere on this list. Let alone, 6 & 7, but again, It’s just my opinion. Viper is a great, smooth ride that gives you great views of the park and the surrounding area. It’s even better if you ride in the front (what ride isn’t better if you sit in the front :P) anyway, Viper goes at number 6.

5.) X2

We’re closing in on the Top 5. Coming in at 5th place is X2, the world’s first 5th-dimensional coaster, built by Arrow Dynamics. This was also the cause to the unfortunate end to Arrow. X2 is often known as one of the best roller coasters on earth. X2 features and 80′ drop, on-ride audio, and fire! This is a must ride if you’re visiting Six Flags Magic Mountain. X2 goes in number 5. 4.) Tatsu

The used to be, longest, tallest, and fastest, flying coaster: Tatsu is number 4 in our list! This is coaster is considered by most coaster enthusiasts to be the best flying coaster in the world, and I agree. Even though I’ve only ridden this one. 😛 Also, Tatsu features the world’s tallest pretzel loop! Tatsu comes in at number 4. For a better look a Tatsu, click here.

3.) The New Revolution *New for 2016!* (Opens April 21, 2016)

Rev Up! The New Revolution is coming in at 3rd place. Revolution is celebrating it’s 40th anniversary this year. In honor of that Six Flags Magic Mountain decided to turn Revolution into The New Revolution, and I got to say, the park did an AMAZING choice updating and refurbishing Revolution for it’s 40th anniversary. If you just look at some of my updates on my website and/or social media, you can see the amazing work they’ve been doing. Not to mention the VR. Oh my gosh, the VR is spectacular!  The New Revolution comes in at number 3.

2.) Full Throttle

The second roller coaster that it’s record has been broken this year, Full Throttle, the used to be, worlds tallest and fastest looping coaster comes in at number 2. Full Throttle, though it’s short ride time, is a spectacular ride where you not only go inside the loop, but OUTSIDE the loop as well! Making it the worlds first ‘Top Hat’ on a loop! Full Throttle comes in at number 2. If you would like to see a better review of Full Throttle, click here.

1.) Twisted Colossus

You probably knew it was coming, Twisted Colossus, the worlds longest hybrid coaster takes the number 1 spot. And for good reason, Twisted Colossus features the worlds first RMC dueling track, the first ‘High Five’ element on the western hemisphere, a top gun stall, a zero-g roll, and 4, count ’em, 4 minutes of ride time. That is why we think, Twisted Colossus deserves the number one spot in our ‘CCF’S Top 10 Best Coasters at Six Flags Magic Mountain’ article.
