The last time I wrote, I was at California’s Great America for Taste of Orleans.  Well this time, it will be a general park update, with a lot of preparations going on for WinterFest.



Firefall is still broken down, but they got it back to the normal load position.  As you can see, a crane was set up to help them work on the ride.  I would hate to see this go, like many other topspins.


Here is the first signs of WinterFest, as they were preparing to film a commercial at the park.  This is in front of Maggie Brown’s.


Here are some more views of the prep, from the line for Vortex.  You can see some oversized christmas lights and some figures for the event.


Over by the first aid station, they have been working on some facades, which look like gingerbread houses!


Lastly, Vortex is still running one train, with the other now on the brake run.  I have heard that they put it on when the lines get long, but due to lack of lines, they rarely put it on.
